Bill was a dedicated HAM radio operator, K8KQ, and enjoyed doing show and tell with others. His love for photography allowed him to capture countless memories of the people and places he cherished. He took pictures of everything and everyone.
A man of many interests, Bill embraced life with enthusiasm. He was an active participant in downhill and cross-country skiing, sailing, ping pong, tennis, pickleball, hiking, canoeing, a friendly match of Uno or Euchre, and enjoyed throwing bumpers for the numerous Coon family Golden Retrievers.
Bill had a deep appreciation for toys, collecting everything from Tonka trucks to Lionel trains, as well as antique cameras and World War II memorabilia. He was a dedicated 4-H leader for many years, focusing on shooting sports and assisting Gwen with dog sports.
Bill will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to share knowledge, his love of talking and his genuine curiosity about the world around him. He was, in every sense of the word, a “good guy.” His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
